Environmental Test Technician
We currently have a vacancy for an Environmental Test Technician at our site in Bishopton.
As an Environmental Test Technician, you will be completing testing on munitions from single rounds to missile systems as well as for the Oil, Space and Ships industries. You will be carrying out tests such as vibration, shock, altitude, pressure and climatic.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a role where no two days the same, you will be working with a variety of tasks, tests and materials.
Your main responsibilities as an Environmental Test Technician will involve:
Assisting with test engineering
Following the process of various test programmes
Conducting pre-test risk assessments
Interpreting customer requirements and specifications
Carrying out safety checks
Prioritising own workload to achieve affective results
Developing in house test facilities
Your skills and qualifications as an ETF Technician:
Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
Testing experience, not commissioning, in a lab or factory environment
Vibration or environmental testing experience would be desirable also simulated environments
Competent in understanding electrical and electronic control systems
Experience in working in a manufacturing/production environment
Awareness of continuous improvement tools
Capable of maintaining appropriate standards
ESM (Explosive Safety Management) awareness or equivalent
Good understanding of lean principles
