Environmental SHE Associate

Would you like to work within the SHE function in an environmental capacity? We currently have a vacancy for a Environmental SHE Associate at our site in Glascoed.

As an Environmental SHE Associate, you will be dealing with COMAH legislation, report management and delivery of work package to others. You will also be responsible for the day to day management of other legislation. Within this role you will also be looking in to energy saving, investigating at how Glascoed as a site can reduce on water usage and waste.

It is a varied role, opportunity to put your own stamp on things and help towards the environmental side of the Glascoed site.

Your main responsibilities as a Environmental SHE Associate will involve:

Assisting with the BAE Systems Environmental and Energy Management System by carrying out environmental inspections and internal audits as per agreed schedule

Collating environmental statistics and produce monthly reports with agreed KPIs

Carrying out internal environmental training

Log tasks on the OSHENS (computer aided incident management system) as required, monitor progress and follow up for effective closure

Preparing communications about environmental performance and release information using internal communication tools

Minute environmental meetings as required

Reviewing of environmental impacts for works onsite and advise on appropriate controls as required

Verify utility bills and invoices as required

Maintaining document control and record keeping for ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2011 management systems

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential skills

• Demonstrable experience with environmental management systems

• Auditor qualification

• Experience in presenting and delivery of training

• Strong IT skills including document control and Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Able to communicate at all levels

• Able to manage concurrent activities and multiple projects efficiently and effectively

Desirable skills

• IEMA Membership

• Knowledge of the facilities management

• Knowledge of COMAH Regulations 2015

• Experience in a corporate environment

• Able to interpret environmental legislation in the context of business activities
