IM&T Manager – Enterprise Architecture & Strategy
Would you like to have an opportunity to further develop your skillset and have a variety of interactions through all levels of the organisation? We currently have a vacancy for an IM&T Manager – Enterprise Architecture & Strategy at our site in Barrow.

As an IM&T Manager – Enterprise Architecture & Strategy, you will be responsible for providing architectural expertise across a range of IT projects, specifically in relation to our Complex Systems and Support activities. As an experienced architect, you will be knowledgeable in stakeholder management across a broad range of people, up to management committee level.

This role will provide you with the opportunities to further embed in the submarines enterprise and its internal and external customers.

Your main responsibilities as an IM&T Manager – Enterprise Architecture & Strategy:

Accountable for the leadership and direction of the IM&T involvement within the CS&S transformation

Providing expertise to create the current foundation architecture within which the business operates

Working in-conjunction with the transformation leads; integrating the goals and objectives into a coherent whole and define the target architecture, that will satisfy the scope of the projects

Producing robust roadmaps, that document the sequence of work packages needed in order to meet the target architecture

Understanding of investment proposals, in order to ensure the work packages have sound business rationale, deliver value for money and are the right strategic fit. This will be assessed by the Submarines Business Investment Portfolio team

Becoming a member of our Enterprise Design Authority providing assurance of the Enterprise Architecture across all initiatives

Your skills and qualifications as an IM&T Manager – Enterprise Architecture & Strategy:

Essential:

Experienced in Enterprise Architecture

Knowledge of Architecture domains (Business, Information, Technology)

An understanding/experience of Data Modelling

Knowledge of working with ERP, PLM and CAD systems

Experience of producing strategic roadmaps

Degree qualified or equivalent experience

Desirable:

Understanding of a complex engineering environment and the CADMID lifecycle

Ideally have experience in development of Enterprise Services. ESB, API Gateway's, Microservices.

Ideally have experience of working to TOGAF

You will have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across different levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally in a technical and non-technical environment. You must have the ability to produce and present reports & strategy across different levels of the business. You will be able to advise and lead more junior employees.
