Engineer - Stealth Technology (Electromagnetics)
Do you have a real passion for electromagnetics and advanced computation techniques? Would you like to actively support the development of the Low Observable (LO) aspects of our current and next generation airborne platforms? We currently have a vacancy for a Stealth Technology (Electromagnetics) Engineer at our site in Warton/Filton.
As a Stealth Technology (Electromagnetics) Engineer, you will be working within a specialist team where you will develop experience and expertise in applying Electromagnetic principles to the design of the LO aspects of our airborne platforms. You will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from a wide-range of technical experts in the wider Airframe team.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to interact with and learn from a wide-range of technical experts and to develop a fulfilling career and personally rewarding experience across all aspects of the lifecycle within a supportive team environment.
Your main responsibilities as a Stealth Technology (Electromagnetics) Engineer will involve:
Supporting your team in the delivery of the team objectives in accordance with time, cost and quality
Supporting the definition of the Low Observable (LO) elements of vehicle configuration options
Participating in the design of the LO elements of vehicle design
Supporting the specification, monitoring, and analysis of Radar Cross Section (RCS) tests and InfraRed (IR) tests to support LO design activities
Carrying out theoretical and analytical RCS and IR computations to support LO Design activities
Your skills and qualifications as a Stealth Technology (Electromagnetics) Engineer:
Degree STEM subject (Physics, Mathematics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Modelling) or equivalent experience/product expertise
An understanding of the overall systems engineering lifecycle
Experience working within a large, complex, multi-project environment
Knowledge of and understanding of Design IT tools e.g. CAD systems
Understanding of electromagnetics - desirable
