Engineer (Process Development)

Would you like to work as part of the Engineering Process Development team to create and implement processes for the Submarine programmes? We currently have a vacancy for an Engineer (Process Development) at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.

As an Engineer (Process Development), you will be involved in managing document change and review proposals, engaging with governance owners, process owners and stakeholders, facilitating meetings and producing documents on time to agreed business plan.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop networking capability within the Engineering function and gain multi project awareness.

Your main responsibilities as an Engineer (Process Development) will involve:

Understanding the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements

Producing, developing and maintaining process documentation of a major engineering project

Following the Process Development Programme

Looking into process definition, development and implementation

Getting involved in cross-functional process integration

Your skills and qualifications:

HNC or equivalent experience in an Engineering discipline

Demonstrable understanding of QMS and processes

Experience in appropriate Engineering toolsets

Understanding of Systems Engineering – desirable

Previous experience utilising QMS, TeamCenter, SAP or related document/process management systems
