Data Analyst (Data Scientist)
Would you like to deliver acquired information, whilst meeting the customer's needs? We currently have a vacancy for a Data Analyst (Data Scientist) at our site in Warton.
As a Data Analyst, you will be develop the analytics service and customer base through engagement of the business, understanding the problems they are trying to solve and offering analytical solutions that provide insight and information enabling successful business resolutions
This role will provide you with the potential to develop the position from an executive grade, to lead.
Your main responsibilities as a Data Analyst will involve:
Working with the business, data community and IM&T resources
Acquiring a proper understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships between these parts, selecting the appropriate method/tool to resolve the problem and reflecting critically on the result, so that what is learnt is identified and assimilated
Acquiring understanding of the metrics associated with a problem or situation, their significance and relationship, and being able to manipulate these as necessary to identify solutions.
Using techniques that you are familiar with which help in modelling and understanding a business and its operations
Using tools and techniques (manual or automated) that you are familiar with, which can be used to document an understanding of the structure, relationships and use of information within an organisation. Examples: information usage model, entity model, class diagram, relational data model, data flow model.
Through proficient application of automated (software) tools which enable selective access to information, or extraction of patterns and knowledge from large amount of data, Typically held within some form of database or "data warehouse
Your skills and qualifications:
Up to date knowledge of own organisation's policy framework, organisational relationships, business
Broad understanding of processes, reporting procedures, and existing and planned information systems
Knowledge of corporate data standards and of the relevant professional and/or legal data standards
Experience and understanding of IT concepts and practices

You will have the ability to influences customers, suppliers and partners at account level. You will be have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You will be able to work as a team and also solo.

Salary: £42,212
