Management Accountant – Costbase and Business Support
Would you like to provide financial business support to an area of the business operating in five continents? We currently have a vacancy for a Management Accountant – Costbase and Business Support at our site in Barrow-In-Furness.
As a Management Accountant – Costbase and Business Support, you will be part of a team responsible for providing support to all Functional heads in management, reporting of P&L, headcount and capital expenditure.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience as a finance business partner while build a stakeholder network across the Weapons Business Unit.
Your main responsibilities as a Management Accountant – Costbase and Business Support
will involve:
Working closely with Cost Centre Head/Budget Holder within the function to produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts
Creating reports on profit & loss, variance analysis, headcount, capital and risks & opportunities
Running the quarterly cost base reforecast process and producing required outputs
Involvement in the integrated business plan, quarterly business report and budget processes
Involvement in financial tracking and supporting projects
Supporting your line manager in improving financial control and financial management, including identification and realisation of savings
Producing indirect overhead reports, functional reports and adhoc reports/support relating to cost base and/ or utilisation
Supporting costing rates, through put, utilisation and headcount calculations
Supporting the cost base, reporting and capital function with any tasks which arise
Your skills and qualifications as a Management Accountant – Costbase and Business Support:
Part qualified/Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or relevant experience
Management accounting expertise including preparation and presentation of management information, budgeting and forecasting
Knowledge and experience of costbase
Advanced excel skill set
Experience of working within a manufacturing or operational environment
Experience of overhead accounting would be highly desirable

Salary: £36 299+
