Change Manager – Maritime Composite Training System (MCTS)

Would you like to be part of the Training Services Group and MCTS Management Team working on the high profile MCTS project? We currently have a vacancy for a Change Manager - MCTS at our site in Broad Oak. (Portsmouth)

As the Change Manager - MCTS, you will be managing the evolution of this complex project area across a broad product and customer base whilst supporting the development team in meeting cost, quality, technical & schedule commitments.

This role will provide direct exposure to the MCTS Project Manager and MCTS Service Delivery manager and you will be expected to deputise for them. This provides excellent exposure, experience and opportunity for career progression.

Your main responsibilities as a Change Manager will involve:

Sustaining and growing the order book and helping to win the re-let for the current contract

Delivery of bids, proposals and technical support in line with product based business plans

Helping define the MCTS Training Solution and Service Delivery offering for the Contract re-let in 2018

Assisting the MoD Customer to develop the requirements for the follow on service phase, training solution, technology refresh and changes

Providing support to the development team by providing Royal Navy Surface Warfare knowledge into the team

Establishing and maintaining strong customer and supplier relationships, ensuring clear points of contact and high levels of customer satisfaction

Deputising for the MCTS Project Manager and MCTS Service Delivery Manager(s) where appropriate

Your skills and qualifications as a Change Manager will ideally include

Recent Royal Navy Surface Warfare Officer experience

Proven track record in conceptualising, gaining approval for and then executing a project (and bringing stakeholders along on the journey) [and also know when an idea isn't so good]

Demonstrable ability to empathise with users and customers and understand their needs

Proven ability to negotiate for budget and resource to prioritise and progress projects.

Proven ability to work collaboratively across internal and external boundaries to achieve best results for the user, customer, business and project

Experience of one or more of:

RN Warfare Training

RN Surface Combatant Combat System Equipment

Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) and JSP 822

Complex real time training simulators

What we're looking for in you:

You will be an excellent listener with ability to facilitate ideas and innovation but have the ability to communicate your own ideas through good presentation skills. You will be a proven leader with the ability to establish and manage strong customer and supplier relationships. You will be self-motivated and have excellent negotiation skills, as well as excellent personal organisational planning and analytical skills.
