JIRA Systems Administrator
Would you like to be part of an exciting team responsible for configuration and administration with all aspects of JIRA? We currently have a vacancy for a JIRA Systems Administrator at our site in Broad Oak.
As a JIRA Systems Administrator, you will be using IT to provide data and information back to the business and our customers around performance metrics and statistics.
This role will enable you to gain great exposure and the ability to develop effective partnerships with a variety of stakeholders and to provide subject matter consultancy to the business to support company-wide decision making and strategy.
Your main responsibilities as a JIRA Systems Administrator will involve:
Responsible for configuration and administration with all aspects of JIRA, including workflow design, development and deployment
Managing complex workflows and handle testing of plugins and application updates
Working within a team to create and support projects
Maintaining JIRA parameters for projects, workflows, permissions, users, etc
Working a queue of JIRA tickets to address system issues, user requests, etc. based on agreed priority
Working with Technical Product Owner to develop backlog items and get high quality development into Production efficiently
Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant IT related subject or equivalent experience to offset
Excellent working knowledge of JIRA configuration and setup is essential
Knowledge of TFS (Team Foundation Server), SVN (Apache Sub-Version), Oracle DB and SQL is essential
Understanding and working knowledge of Agile working practises is essential
Should have a Software background, be conversant with installations and setup JIRA on server and update configuration files
Experience of tools integrators/plug-ins development for JIRA is desirable
Experience of performing JIRA migrations from one version to another is desirable

You will be a strong communicator with the ability to challenge people effectively. You will be good at managing your own time effectively between routine administration and project work.
