Business Intelligence Developer
Would you like to work in an expanding and fast paced part of the business? We currently have a vacancy for a Business Intelligence Developer at our site in Warton.
As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will be supporting the BI Development team specifically in the area of information analysis and solution implementation. The solutions element consists of data transformation, ad-hoc querying, report writing, dashboard creation and event management.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work as part of a team within the Business Intelligence Competency Centre. Business Intelligence creates competitive advantage for our business by providing relevant and reliable information, faster, in order to make better and more informed business decisions.
Your main responsibilities as a Business Intelligence Developer will involve:
Working with stakeholders, analysts and other developers to understand systems and collaborate on the implementation of appropriate BI solutions
Experience contributing to in the design and implementation of BI solutions to deliver operational and strategic dashboards and reports (preferably using IBM Cognos BI)
Contributing to Experience in multi-dimensional (cube based) and relational reporting
Contributing to Experience in the support of code standards, best practice, configuration and change management processes and procedures, as well as in the ability to operate in an iterative development environment
Data analysis, discovery, integration, virtualisation & warehousing
BI reporting & analytics, dashboards, ad-hoc querying
Business as usual support and maintenance
Your skills and qualifications as a Business Intelligence Developer:
Awareness of information analysis, problem solving and engineering methodologies and processes
Understanding of analysing data, developing metrics, reports and dashboards
Knowledge of information modelling tools and techniques, including multi-dimensional (data cubes) and relational
Use or Knowledge of Reporting Tools desirable
