Your main responsibilities as an Audit Associate - Internal Audit, Data Analytics, IT, Project Management

Internal Audit supports the CEO and Board in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls. This is achieved through a programme of reviews based on a continuous assessment of business risk across the Company.

As an Audit Associate, you will be accountable for supporting the planning and delivery of a range of audit and assurance assignments against the companies' key risks.

When supporting the Lead Audit Manager on assignments, you will evaluate situations using multiple sources of both internal and external information.

Performance within this role will be subject to the individual's understanding of the businesses policies, procedures and governance frameworks. The role requires you to have the ability to filter, prioritise, and analyse material in order to validate observations and provide recommendations that are fit for purpose, as part of the audit process.

The audit reports you contribute towards, will be written for, and read by, the Business Leadership and the Executive Committee of BAE Systems plc.

Your skills and qualifications as an Audit Associate - Internal Audit, Data Analytics, IT, Project Management

We are looking for ambitious candidates who have experience in one or more of the following areas: Audit, IT, Data Analytics or Project Management.

You should ideally be working towards a professional qualification demonstrating knowledge in your chosen field.

In addition to the above, we are looking for individuals with one or more of the following:

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex issues

· Ability to review, document and understand complex systems or processes

· Strong focus on delivering assigned objectives in a timely & efficient manner

· Ability to interact with stakeholders at various levels of the organisation

· Ability to interrogate data using analytics techniques and tools

· Understanding of core Project Management tools, techniques and processes

Current or previous experience of being part of a recognised development programme in your current or previous organisation is also advantageous.

Due to the nature of our work travel should be expected both internationally and within the UK (approx. 25-30%).
