Architectural Repository Modeller

Would you like to work at the centre of thriving market facing growing “Digital” business that is delivering innovative information solutions and services to BAE Systems, the MoD and the Royal Navy?

You will join the Information Systems & Services (IS&S) Department as an Architectural Repository Modeller where you will help define and document the IT infrastructure for Maritime Services on ship, on premise ashore and in the Cloud. You will work closely with IS&S Service Delivery teams and EITS to provide the overview of IT infrastructure and to provide expert advice on issues that arise in supporting the delivery of IS&S projects.

Your main responsibilities will involve:

Working with the Enterprise Architecture team to define the scope of artefacts to be stored in the Enterprise Architecture repository

Helping, defining and implementing a plan for creating a Maritime Services instance of the preferred Enterprise Architecture repository

Provide status reports on the population of the Enterprise Architecture repository

Working with the Assurance and Governance lead to define the reporting from the Enterprise Architecture repository relevant to the wider business (with an initial focus on supporting the requirements of the IS&S Programmes and Project Lead)

Achieving a level of excellence in the use of the Enterprise Architecture repository so that expertise and advice can be offered to the Enterprise Architecture team

Undertaking architecture model/artefact creation and model data entry as appropriate

Monitoring and contributing to OCIO policy and projects concerning the Enterprise Architecture repository and participate in the Enterprise Architecture Board
Monitor and contribute to EITS policy and projects concerning the Enterprise Architecture repository

Ensuring that relevant strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly to work undertone with the Enterprise Architecture repository

Your skills and qualifications:

Enterprise Architecture concepts such process models, information models, and application definition and software development methods

Working knowledge of:

Application development frameworks and technologies

Data import and export using simple .csv import/export or API technology between tools

A good understanding of architecture principles, presentation and communication skills

Complex issue resolution of a solution and integration nature
