Apprentice Trainer (Steelwork)
Would you like to inspire people who are going to be the future of the business? We currently have a vacancy for an Apprentice Trainer (Steelwork) at our site in Scotstoun, Glasgow.
As an Apprentice Trainer (Steelwork), you will be designing, co-ordinating and evaluating training programmes. You will be carrying out the assessment of S/NVQ's in support of Apprenticeships against national and company standards.
This role will monitor learner progress & performance in line with the apprenticeship frameworks and Sector Skills Council & Awarding Bodies expectations. You will maintain and record data against Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and Centre Approval requirements.
Your main responsibilities as an Apprentice Trainer (Steelwork)
will involve:
Creating and implementing a learning environment
Developing activities to enable individuals to acquire skills and knowledge
Supervising individuals undergoing training and providing pastoral support in counselling, coaching and development of individuals
Delivering agreed learning programmes
Monitoring, controlling & assessing, evaluating and verifying competencies and learner performance against recognised standards and carry out quality audits
Planning and organising all activities around the product build programme and liaising with and monitor sub-contractors as required
Implementing and contribute to continuous improvement activities to improve the quality of the programme
Your skills and qualifications:
Time served - Fabricator/Plater
IT literate
Post qualification experience within Fabrication/Plating is essential
S/NVQ Level 4 Learning & Development or relevant equivalent would be desirable
S/NVQ Assessor / Verifier awards– A1 or V1 or relevant equivalent would be desirable
Supervisory experience desirable
EAL Awarding Body & SEMTA Knowledge desirable
Skill Development Scotland Quality Standards Knowledge

Salary: £31,365 +
Location: Scotstoun, Glasgow
