Ancillary- Plant
We currently have a vacancy for an Ancillary- Plant at our site in Barrow in Furness.
As an Ancillary- Plant, you will be working across multiple programmes including crane driving, fork lift & MEWP (mechanical elevated work platform) operations. This will allow you to initiate continuous improvement across the business.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work within a challenging position that is varied and every day is different, this can also potentially take you to all areas of the Barrow site.
Your main responsibilities as an Ancillary- Plant will involve:
Working safely at all times, complying with Health and Safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines
Plant and equipment maintenance assistance
Following the relevant instructions and any other specifications
Checking the completed activity to ensure that all operations have been completed to meet the required regulations
Using associated tools and equipment safely and effectively
Supporting and mentoring apprentices
Assisting in ad hoc duties as required including lifting
Your skills and qualifications as an Ancillary- Plant :
Experience working within a manufacturing environment
Mechanical or electrical supporting background
Health and Safety awareness
Folk lift & MEWP (mechanical elevated work platform) operation experience
Crane driving and vehicle operations is essential
Slinging and lifting experience is essential
Working at heights
Working in confined spaces

You will be a good communicator with strong people skills. You will be self-motivated and be able to work on your own initiative as well as working within a team.
