Job description
The job is a Metal Polisher working for a manufacturing company based in Scotland. This exceptional company are a UK specialist in the manufacture of innovative equipment for the aerospace industry and have a client base both in the UK and internationally.
The role will suit someone who has strong experience of polishing, scurfing or fettling finished metal components to remove defects and excess material as necessary and also to improve surface finish.
Metal polisher job duties & requirements
- Previous experience of metal polishing including working with stainless steel,
- Experience of using both hand-held and pedestal mounted polishing mops to polish precision metal components,
- To be able to work to set targets and deadlines whilst still working towards the highest standards,
- To maintain a positive can do attitude at all times even when presented with a high work load
- The ability to work to instructions / specifications within a manufacturing environment
- The ability to achieve high standard of surface finish
- Good visual inspection skills
