You will join the AXA EssentiALL department, the AXA Group’s Inclusive Insurance business with social impact. Our purpose is to make insurance is accessible, affordable and attractive to 4bn low income to mass market customers across the world who remain vulnerable to unforeseen events.

AXA EssentiALL consists of a dozen experts at the global level as well as dedicated local teams in each of the markets where we do business. At end-2023, this initiative protected over 13.6 million clients in fourteen countries (IN, ID, TH, PH, CN, EG, MO, SN, NI, TR, MX, CO, BR, FR) contributing to financial inclusion and sustainable development through a business approach.

MISSION

AXA EssentiALL is looking for a Partnership & Entity Relationship Manager to join our global team and scale our inclusive insurance programs. The role, based in Paris, is responsible for:

  1. <-- [if supportLists]-->1. <--[endif]-->Drive distribution partnerships for AXA with the Postal sector globally:
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Driving the establishment of the Egypt Postal National Authority (ENPA) – AXA Egypt Joint Venture. This project aims to serve 12 million underserved clients via ENPA’s last-mile branch network.
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Leading the partnership signed with the Universal Postal Union (UPU) to drive inclusive insurance through the postal distribution channel. The partnership aims at identifying best practices for postal insurance and availing technical assistance programs to eight Posts globally.
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Identifying and test potential for replication of the Egyptian Postal Distribution and other models in AXA EssentiALL priority markets, both in emerging markets and in Europe.
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Leveraging on AXA’s position with Postal actors to identify and attract other opportunities for Public Partnerships (governments, bilaterals, multilaterals) to scale inclusive insurance.

  1. <-- [if supportLists]-->2. <--[endif]-->Structure and lead the inclusive insurance strategy in a priority AXA EssentiALL market, as an Entity Relationship Manager (ERM):

This role would be ERM for one emerging market in the AXA EssentiALL ecosystem: Algeria.

  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Co-defining the local strategy with the local AXA teams (CEO, CMO ExCom sponsor, business units…)
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Helping identify and vet the right talents to create / reinforce local inclusive insurance teams
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Determining priority segments and researching their needs, with a focus on micro-entrepreneurs and micro-employee benefits propositions
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Developing/redesigning products to match customers’ needs through inclusive criteria, e.g., adapted levels of coverage, simplified terms and conditions, lower exclusions, monthly payments with no fees, lower deductibles…
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Ensuring operations, IT and other enablers are in place with the support of the central team’s IT/Ops/data team
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Identifying business opportunities and driving commercial development, both via B2B2C partnerships and more traditional channels where relevant, to take the new offers to market
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Preparing and lead quarterly calls with the AXA local entity CEO to review the inclusive insurance strategy
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Ensuring replication of successes and sharing learnings from failures with other AXA entities

  1. <-- [if supportLists]-->3. <--[endif]-->Explore the development of inclusive insurance in new geographies:
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Exploring potential to expand AXA’s inclusive insurance footprint to new emerging markets where the company is present. This is to be done when the time is right for the entity at local CEO initiative.
  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Initiating competitive and regulatory analyses, internal capabilities assessment, commercial discussions in order to present an action plan (with local recruitment if relevant) to management.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Background and experience:

·  Strong background on inclusive insurance / financial inclusion / social impact topics
·  Demonstrated experience in designing, signing, and running partnerships
·  Experience and appetite for going the field to meet end customers, experience running individual interviews, focus groups and other demand studies
·  Master’s Degree in business management or international development

Soft skills and competencies:

·  Creative mind, resilient, initiative-taker, good at thinking ‘outside the box’, with a real desire to understand the entire insurance value chain and challenge the way it is traditionally conducted
·  Ability to deliver a project from start to end with a strong sense of the equilibrium to find between autonomy and team collaboration
·  Strong communications skills, able to present complex ideas clearly and concisely so as to obtain the buy-in of a multicultural audience at all levels of the organization
·  Fluent in English and French is mandatory, other languages a plus
