- Steer the entities in order to ensure the coherence of the strategies, the consistency of the commercial approaches as well as the optimization of the risks and results;
- Defining and coordinating Group policies, different transversal projects and standards, identifying and sharing best practices;
- Supporting the entities in order to help them to grow, to develop their offer, their management and steering standards as well as their risk management.
The head office of AXA Group (GIE AXA), based in La Défense Majunga, gathers the Group's corporate activities. It coordinates the various entities according to the Group's strategy and is responsible for managing international projects. The headquarters is composed with over 850 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities).
Team Presentation
Within the Brand, Communication & Sustainability department, the Group Sustainability team (GST) supports AXA’s long-term strategy with respect to the Group Purpose: Act for human progress by protecting what matters. This includes steering the Group climate strategy, foster green business and inclusive protection, raise awareness regarding ESG matters within the entities and across the different professional families.
Key objectives for the team include:
- Integrating ESG thinking within the organization through the Sustainability network worldwide and through the other professional families such as procurement, insurance, investment…
- Coordinating all the ESG reporting for the Group
- Contributing to AXA’s overall responsible investment and insurance strategies on critical issues such as climate change and the loss of biodiversity, and promoting inclusive protection through offers with a social benefit and/or prevention services
- Reinforcing AXA’s understanding of key environmental, social, and ethical trends in society, helping to envision the role of insurance in society in the future.
- Engaging and collaborating with external stakeholders from civil society on issues of strategic importance to AXA’s business (such as NGOs, international institutions and national authorities).
Main purpose of the mission
Within this department, you will support the Sustainability Engagement team in the coordination of different projects:
- Contribute to the citizenship programs of AXA:
- Support the team in the reporting of philanthropy & volunteering activities of AXA Group worldwide and in particular contributes to the organization of the AXA Week for good un June
- Contribute to the development of new philanthropic partnerships with NGOs
- Help preparing philanthropy committee meetings (slides, background checks on NGOs, follow up)
- Contribute to the strategic review of the employees international volunteering program
- Support the team in organizing volunteering and philanthropy reporting
- Contribute to the disclosure and communication of ESG and philanthropy achievements:
- Follow up of existing projects with NGOs and find communication opportunities
- Coordinate events with NGOs
- Contribute to answer when appropriate to non-financial questionnaires
- Manage and upskill the sustainability network and the ESG community:
- Contribute to the organization of the monthly calls with networks of internal sustainability officers worldwide
- Support the organization of internal workshops, masterclass, seminars to foster integration of ESG in other professional families
Desired profile
Qualifications :

· Master Degree final year or gap year.
· A previous experience in project management is mandatory.
· Strong project management skills, able to follow complex projects with many actors.
· Very good writing skills in English and French.
· Experience in working in international groups and/or large companies.
· Synthesis spirit, able to catch main ideas and to organize and summarize information.
· Good analytical skills.
· Autonomous, able to work remotely.
· Good interpersonal skills.
· Good command of PowerPoint and Excel.
· Knowledge of ESG issues is a plus.
