It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. Job purpose
The Chief Commercial Lines Officer – Global Business Community Commercial Lines is responsible for leading the transformation and development of the Global Business Community Commercial Lines, comprising all European entities, AXA Mexico, and AXA XL.
The focus is on driving transversal initiatives and developing common goals to facilitate the implementation of the Community's vision.
The role does not cover product and underwriting specifics but aims to ensure alignment with the new strategic plan 2024-2026 and report progress to senior management. The role reports to the Chief Transformation Officer for European Markets & Health who leads several business communities.
Dimensions
- The Global Business Community Commercial Lines is a network that focuses on small, medium-sized and large corporate sectors. It encompasses all European entities, AXA Mexico, and AXA XL, with a focus on transformation, common goal setting, collective knowledge and best practice sharing.
- The Community's members are the representatives of the commercial lines business of each entity, including representatives from Group Underwriting, Tech&Data and Risk.
- The Community is dedicated to driving transversal initiatives, ensuring progress against common objectives, providing targeted guidance and feedback based on close collaboration and expert networks.
Key accountabilities
The key accountabilities are aligned with the mandate of the Global Business Community Commercial Lines and include:
- Working with the Community to identify common strategic priorities, challenge existing approaches, and share best practices.
- Coaching senior management, shaping local agendas, and acting as a bridge between entities and the Group.
- Ensuring entities are focused on delivering their strategic priorities and serving as the single point of contact them.
- Providing strategic direction and advice on key Commercial Lines priorities through performance dialogues.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Education
· Relevant professional or business qualification
Experience :
· International experience with managing multi-geographic teams
· Substantial business experience as Head of Commercial Lines or Corporate Clients within an insurance organization
· Experience at an equivalent senior level with P&L leadership role
Skills & Knowledge :
· Strong working knowledge of strategy, management, and implementation across the value chain
· Strong people skills with a proven record of delivering through and across teams
· Internationally mobile with frequent travel
· Program management capabilities
· Fluent in English, French is an asset, and possibly one of the following languages: German, Italian, Spanish
· Senior stakeholder management skills, strong interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills
· Understanding of the global marketplace, competitor activity, and financial dynamics of Commercial Lines
· Ability to prioritize and match resourcing to workload to meet operational requirements
· Ability to work solo and as part of a wider team
