The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. You will be part of the AXA Group headquarters however your work location will be in Brussels located in the offices of AXA Belgium close to the earth of the European Union. Your job and daily missions:

Reporting to the Group Director of Public Affairs, you will join a dynamic team of 8 people whose mission is to ensure that AXA provides thought-leadership on regulatory and public policy issues relevant to our business. The mission of the team is based on three key tasks being screening, positioning, outreaching. Furthermore, the team ensures coordination with internal professional families and AXA entities throughout the world.

AXA Group is creating the position of Policy Advisor for European Affairs, with the goal of having a permanent presence in the heart of the European Union and contributing to the aim of strengthening AXA’s influence with the European Institutions on a permanent basis.

As Policy Advisor for EU Affairs, you will be based in Brussels and will play an important role in informing the public policy team as well as internal stakeholders about policy discussions within the different EU institutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Public Affairs team to craft an annual strategy that effectively represents AXA's objectives and values.
  • Vigilantly monitoring and analyzing European policy and political developments to identify emerging issues and topics that could impact AXA and providing timely insights to guide position making.
  • Representing AXA at selected meetings and events in Brussels.
  • Working closely with the AXA Public Affairs team in Paris to ensure seamless information-sharing with management and business units.
  • Supporting the organization of internal and external events related to public affairs, thereby bolstering the team's cohesion and bolstering AXA's visibility in Brussels.
  • Expanding a network of contacts within EU environment (institutions, think tanks, peers and trade bodies) and stay abreast of relevant developments.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Expertise, skills we are looking for:

·  Ability to cultivate and nurture productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
·  Professional experience in the Financial Services sector, with a focus on Insurance, banks, and Asset Management.
·  University-level education, preferably holding a master's degree in economics, business administration, political science, or law.
·  Proficiency in gathering, structuring, and presenting politically relevant intelligence obtained through diverse formal and informal channels.

Personal skills and attributes:

·  Proven capacity to multitask, solve problems, make decisions, take initiatives, and work autonomously while also having a collaborative team player mindset.
·  Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, coupled with cultural sensitivity and confidence in engaging in international settings.
·  Writing and speaking skills in English and French and /or German.
