Within the Group, you will join the European Markets & Global Health Team, and more specifically, you will be part of the Finance and Strategy Team, a small and focused team whose primary missions are to:

  • Assist the European Markets & Global Health CEO in the management of the activities under his scope of responsibility, notably in terms of defining their strategies and plan, monitoring their execution and ensuring their delivery;
  • Be a sparring to the entities’ management teams and a constructive challenger for defining their local strategies, plans and objectives and for ensuring their implementation;
  • Support the Group functions to facilitate (i) the implementation of the Group’s strategy and priorities in the European markets, (ii) the monitoring of the European entities’ plans, performance and challenges, and (iii) the resolution of potential issues.

Your Job and Daily Missions:

The Financial Analyst European Markets has the main purpose to support the European Markets Financial Manager in assisting the Chief Finance and Strategy Officer for European Markets and Health in all his finance-related missions, as previously described.

In this context, the Financial Analyst European Markets contributes to understanding and monitoring the strategies, plans and objectives of the European entities and to preparing specific related analyses

The Financial Analyst European Markets also works closely with the European Markets Strategy team to provide them with inputs on all the financial related matters of the entities and enrich her/his understanding of the European entities.

Finally, the Financial Analyst European Markets contributes to some of the transversal activities of the broader European Markets and Health team, for instance in terms of preparation of the EU MC meetings or to assist the European Markets and Health CFO with the preparation of some of his key meetings.

Primary responsibilities

  • <-- [if supportLists]-->Contribute to the monitoring of the entities financial performance, in liaison with the European entities and the Group Performance Management team;
  • Follow-up the local entities’ closing, budgeting and forecasting processes;
  • Identify risks of deviation against financial targets
  • Monitor the implementation of specific operational plans to achieve objectives;
  • More generally, provide the EU&H Team with the support required on performance management.

2. Specific studies:

  • Conduct analysis to identify business opportunities, challenges or potential (including market and competitive analysis)
  • Contribute to transversal studies on financial or strategic matters

3. Transversal activities:

  • Contribute to the preparation of materials required for Group presentations (e.g., IR days material, BoD presentations, MC memos)
  • <--[endif]-->Support the European Markets and Health CFO in preparing for key meetings
