AVL Research and Engineering Turkey, a member of the AVL Group with more than 8.000 employees, works worldwide on the development of vehicle powertrains, controls, software, instrumentation and test systems. AVL Turkey is looking for qualified and talented calibration engineers to join their growing engineering team at R&D Center in İstanbul.
Your Responsibilities:
· Calibration of engine, vehicle and exhaust aftertreatment control strategies through the execution of engine and vehicle testing on engine dyno, chassis dyno and on the road, for the purpose of optimizing Performance, Emissions and NVH.
· Model-based engine & vehicle calibration development
· Hands-on calibration at vehicle, engine dynamometer or HIL whenever/wherever necessary
· Systematic test case development at engine & vehicle level
· Publish and present technical work in relevant platforms and events.
· Mentor junior engineers technically.
Desired profile
Your Profile:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in powertrain calibration
· Proven delivery of a production Combustion Control/Aftertreatment/OBD calibration
· Bachelors degree (MSc preferred), or similar, in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Automotive/Control Engineering
· Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English.
· Ability to adapt to different projects and/or locations
· Good project planning skills
· Good inter-personal, communication and presentation skills
· Excellent Analytical Skills
· Valid Driving License
· Required Technical Skills:
· Working knowledge of engine & vehicle control systems calibration to optimize performance, emissions, fuel consumption, aftertreatment systems & diagnostic functions.
· Good working knowledge of engine management systems and associated calibration tools (such as INCA, ATI Vision etc.)
· Working knowledge of data analysis tool AVL Concerto, experience with other AVL Calibration Tools (CAMEO,CRETA,PUMA) is highly desirable.
· Experience/knowledge of Matlab/Simulink would be advantageous
· Good understanding of Internal Combustion Engine and Turbo-Charging Machinery theory and/or Diesel Aftertreatment Systems
