We are looking for a dynamic leader to continue the growth and develop of our business in measurement instrumentation. You will discover sales leads and develop new and existing relationships. To help us achieve our vision you will be ambitious and visionary with a minimum of 5 years' experience in technical sales to the automotive or allied industries and be educated to degree level. We would expect you to have excellent negotiation and presentation skills as a given and extensive experience of dealing with customers.
Your Responsibilities:
· •To build a successful department
· •To develop and maintain your expertise in the AVL work costing and quotation processes
· •To develop and maintain a level of expertise appropriate to you role in the AVL product portfolio and to appropriately hand over and support the order fulfilment processes
· •To develop, maintain and use the AVL database of contacts required to gain market intelligence and sales leads
· •To actively pursue sales leads and to report to and co-ordinate with the sales management team as required.
· •To create quotations and to negotiate contracts in compliance with your authority level or under direction as required.
· •To develop and maintain regular harmonious relations with AVL's potential, past and present customers.
· •To comply with all Quality Assurance and Environmental Protection procedures pertinent to the sales process.
· •To work proactively in the improvement of the products and processes of AVL-UK specifically to suggest methods by which the sales, negotiation and marketing processes can be made more effective
· •To act as the Business Development Manager in all aspects for AVL Product Annual Remuneration:

Desired profile
Your Profile:
· •At least 3 years' management experience
· •Minimum of 5 years' experience in technical sales to the automotive or allied industries
· •High level of negotiating, presentation, and interpersonal skills
· •Educated to HND level or higher
· •Strong numerical skills
· •Skilled user of the Microsoft office suite and generally IT literate
· •Preferably skilled and experienced in at least one area of engine or vehicle test technology
· •Experience of Salesforce.com desirable
· •Full UK valid Driving license
· •Ability to travel internationally as required
