Are you someone with significant experience in the London Professional Indemnity market? Then we have just the role for you! This is a great job for someone with good communication/people skills and the ability to negotiate with the major broking houses in London. You will lead a tenacious and dedicated team whilst progressing your career with one of the UK's market leading insurers!
We can be flexible on location however, there is a requirement to travel to our London office three times a week.
A bit about the job:
You will join the Professional Indemnity team in Global Corporate and Specialty (GCS). The successful individual will be underwriting PI across all segments including Solicitors, Construction, IFAs, Accountants, Tech and Miscellaneous; both on a primary and XOL basis. The role holder is deputy to the development and implementation of the Professional Indemnity underwriting strategy, leading a team of underwriters, encouraging positive relationships with brokers and clients, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This senior position demands outstanding leadership, critical thinking, and in-depth knowledge of underwriting within this sector.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
· In-depth knowledge of Professional Indemnity in our main markets: Solicitors PI, Construction and IFAs
· Proven leadership experience and good negotiating skills along with experience training members of staff
· Proficient in the structuring and placement of complex insurance programs and bespoke wordings for niche and larger risks
· Be interested in business and the macro-economic environment and a high level of integrity, ethical conduct, and professionalism
· Strong relationship-building and comms skills to interact effectively with brokers, clients, and internal collaborators
