To support their facility in the South of Limburg, we have a vacancy for an:

INTERNATIONAL TRADE COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

Area of Expertise
• Verify that business activities in The Netherlands are fully compliant with International Trade Compliance (ITC) regulations. 
• Assure adherence to all corporate policies pertaining to trade compliance issues through audit /assessment programs and initiate actions to address them. 
• Manage licensing and agreement activities, and maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements. 
• Responding to trade compliance questions in the department, providing support to investigations, developing/managing technology control plans and managing jurisdiction/classification activities and import/export authorizations. 
• Focus on: Import/Export Regulatory Compliance (ITAR, EAR, Strategische, Dual Use & Commercial Goods), License Administration, Agreement Administration, Jurisdiction/Classification Activities.

Level of Responsibility/Main Tasks
• Utilize a broad knowledge of ITC disciplines to provide advice, support, and technical guidance to the EMEA site including moderate to complex issues/concerns in relationship to the site’s business, compliance with ITC legislation, and the maintenance of the site’s ITC management system. 
• Prepare and conduct ITC pre-audits at the site in The Netherlands, assist and implement the necessary improvements.
• Reports to the Manager Logistics in The Netherlands.
• Review business practices and draft/improve export compliance procedures, develop instructional guidelines and provide/develop training programs for impacted personnel. 
• Particular emphasis on handling controlled technical data in an environment with foreign nationals.
• Support all customer requests, including approval of export classification requests, obtaining Technical Assistance Agreements /Manufacturing Licensing Agreements and related hardware licenses.
• Assist in and or execute assessments/audits.
• Authorized to stop work and or activities, as back-up for the Logistics Manager, if the company is violating import and export law or if work and or activities lead into violations of applicable law or policies.

Requirements
• Relevant Completed Bachelor degree with minimum 2 year of relevant experience.
• Fluently in (legal) English and Dutch.
• Proactive attitude.
• Strong communication skills.
