About the role

The Data Engineering team helps our clients drive the right decisions for their business through data and analytical insights. It ensures that clients can access, interpret and analyze data to come up with intelligent courses of action in all areas of their business.

The Data Warehouse Architect role leads the architecture, design and implementation of projects focused on collecting, aggregating, storing, reconciling and making data accessible from disparate sources to enable analysis and decision making. Data engineers and architects are a critical part of the data supply chain, ensuring stakeholders can access and manipulate data for routine and ad hoc analysis. This role supports the full lifecycle of data from ingesting through analytics to action.

Day-to-day, you will:

·  Manages the planning and delivery of data warehouse and storage architecture.
·  Analyzes current business practices, processes and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval system capabilities.
·  Manages relationships stays capable of working with software and hardware vendors to understand the potential architectural impact of different vendor strategies.
·  Manages the design and development of standard/custom data warehouse schematics, layouts, architectures, and relational databases for data storage and data mining.
·  Ensures data is delivered to clients in ways that meet requirements and drive value, using tools such as Excel, PowerBI, PowerPivot, SQL Server, SQL Server Analytics Services, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) SQL Server Integration Services(SSIS), and SharePoint
·  Customize data storage and extraction, data mining, database architecture, metadata and repository creation.
·  Leads creation and implementation of effective metrics and monitoring processes.
·  Leads design and development of business intelligence reporting tools.
·  Work with deal teams to provide subject matter expertise and solutioning support for client proposals and RFPs.
·  Produce actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems.
·  Travel to client location as required.

About you

You understand how to turn piles of data into actionable insights that our clients can use to out-maneuver their competition. You can explain complex analytical concepts in nontechnical language that business people can understand.

You likely possess these key skills and qualities:

·  Experience working with analytical models or techniques and the ability to apply these methods to solve business problems.
·  Experience working with statistical and data visualization tools and techniques.
·  Experience in structured problem-solving.
·  Strong project and people management skills.
·  Advanced Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPivot, SQL Server Reporting Services and Excel skills.

You likely have at least five years of quantitative analysis in a business setting, including building statistical models. Your credentials will be strengthened with at least three years in a management role and three or more years working in management consulting. You likely have a Bachelor's degree in data science, economics, statistics or a related field and, ideally, a Master's degree.

Qualifications

·  Demonstrates significant experience working with large scale data warehouses, database, storage, collection and aggregation models, techniques and technologies, with the ability to apply such methods to solve business problems.
·  Experience working with statistical and data visualization tools and techniques and knowledge of Kimball and/or Inmon methodology.
·  Played a role of a data warehouse and analytics architect leading projects with 4+ team members.
·  Demonstrated experience of working with business stakeholders.
·  Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
·  Experience in structured problem solving assignments and strong project management and people management skills - Excel, PowerBI, PowerPivot, SQL Server, SQL Server Analytics Services, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) SQL Server Integration Services(SSIS), and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Preference would be given to candidates with experience in one more of the following; Azure Data Factory, Stream Analytics, Azure IoT Hub, Hadoop, and Azure Data Warehouse.
