About the Role

An Avanade Business Intelligence Developer you will be responsible for the analysis, design and delivery of data management, data visualization, warehousing, analysis and reporting solutions for Avanade's customers. The Business Intelligence solution Developer will drive the creation of high-value business intelligence leveraging Avanade's proven implementation methodology and solutions on the Microsoft technology platform. This position will work collaboratively across all Avanade's sales, service delivery and account management organizations in the service to Avanade's customers.

This position will represent Avanade's solution delivery approach for data management and reporting solutions and as such must demonstrate high-level technical implementation proficiency. This position requires the ability to translate objectives into technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience using Business Intelligence technologies to implement data integration, data warehousing, analytics and reporting (e.g. reports, scorecards, and dashboards).

About You

You have extensive, hands-on experience using Business Intelligence technologies to implement data integration, data warehousing, analytics and reporting. Day-to-day, you will: Lead the creation of high-value business intelligence, collaborate with sales, service delivery and account management organizations, and travel as needed.

Your background and skills likely include:

Exposure to Azure HD Insights / Spark Development

2-5 Years previous Analytics experience using SQL

Experience with automated infrastructure deployments

Configuration of HD Insights and related Azure services

Create and operationalize data pipeline using SPARK

Author operationalized queries using SPARK

Exposure to Hadoop and other Big Data tools

Microsoft solutions:

SQL 2016

Power BI (and Power View)

Azure, and Azure Data Factory, Data Lake

Big Data technologies such as Hortonworks

Hadoop and MongoDB, a plus

R and Machine Learning, a plus

Tableau, a plus

Exposure to programming and C#

Must have excellent communication skills and hands-on experience working on component based applications in a distributed environment

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience working with database, storage, collection and aggregation models, techniques and technologies, with the ability to apply such methods to solve business problems.

• Experience working with statistical and data visualization tools and techniques.

• Experience in structured problem solving assignments.

• Experience working with PowerBI or Tableau and Excel

You likely have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics with a passion for analyzing data to delivery business insights.
