Pharmaceutical – PLC – Vision Systems

An industry leader in the provision of machine vision, automation and software solutions to regulated industries, now requires an Installation and Commissioning Engineer skilled with PLC and, ideally, vision systems. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of cutting edge solutions for a blue chip client base within a dynamic company.

As Installation and Commissioning Engineer, you will be involved in installation, commissioning & servicing of printing and machine vision related automated solutions, primarily for FDA regulated companies.

Responsibilities:

• As Installation and Commissioning Engineer, you will take a leading role in the installation, commissioning, validation & servicing of the vision, software, electrical, and mechanical based elements of the solution at our customer's site including automation PLC & vision systems
• You will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams in Engineering and Project Management to ensure full compliance with solution requirements
• You will be tasked with working within key pharmaceutical clients’ standard operating procedures for projects and following all standard and regulatory work practices during installation as well as customer specific site work practices
• You will promote continuous improvement through the provision of feedback to the engineering team in relation to deployment experience of integrated vision and software solutions

Essential Requirements:

• Relevant experience within the highly regulated, pharmaceutical industry
• Flexibilty to travel (nationally and internationally) up to 60% and hold a full, clean driving licence
• Ability to make modifications to PLC’s

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s and Cognex vision systems
• Knowledge of GAMP5 and exeperience using AutoCAD would be highly advantageous although full training will be provided
• Knowledge of Pharmaceutical serialization
• You will be able to demonstrate an interest in programming and software systems with languages such as C#, VB, Java
• You will be a natural problem solver with an ability to logically troubleshoot complex PC and PLC based control systems
• You will be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail
• Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering i.e. Apprentice trained or HNC/HND/Degree level Electrical/Electronic Engineeering
