Maintenance Manager

Job description

Site Engineering Maintenance Manager , Aunt Bessie’s, Hull to provide leadership and guidance for the onsite engineering team developing our move to a world class engineering function.

Reporting to the Engineering Controller, you will be an engineering specialist to guide the site engineering team to embrace best practice and develop a world class engineering platform. Strategic development, maintenance & repair of the installed assets to include site services & building infrastructure to deliver the safety, legislative and optimal plant performance through the utilisation of resources and the implementation of Lean Techniques.

You will be responsible for coordination and development of all maintenance activity, as well as the health, safety and environmental legislative compliance to ensure we are following safe working procedures.  You will need to have the vision and commitment to develop our site ensuring all the team are developed appropriately.

Ideally you will have previous experience operating at an engineering management level within a food, drink or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will be able to demonstrate a strong track record in the delivery of engineering improvements, changing the mind-sets of engineering teams and developing engineering standards. However you must have experience of the utilisation and development of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.

In order to be successful you will be qualified to BTEC / HNC or engineering degree level and used to working in a high paced, manufacturing facility. You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and be versatile to adapt to the variable demands of the business.

From your previous work experiences you will be have a pragmatic approach to dealing with issues and be a confident leader of a team and have effective communication skills.

Experience as an engineer, electrical engineer, maintenance engineer, multi-skilled engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, maintenance manager, site engineering manager, within food, fmcg, food production, and be located around Hull, Grimsby, Leeds, Doncaster in Humberside, Yorkshire or East Riding.
