JOB DESCRIPTION

·  As a Solution Architect you will be a technical leader orchestrating and driving the development of customer offerings and multinational solutions, consolidating inputs from multiple diverse teams of SME’s.
·  In this client-facing position, you are an SME in solution design, developing complex technical solutions within an overall solution framework.
·  You will be responsible for translating client needs into specific technical requirements and defining a solution meeting those requirements. Key aspects of the solution design process include business analysis, requirements gathering, conceptual architecture design, detailed costing, contractual statement of work, SLA’s, commercial proposals, internal and client executive interaction, and design reviews and approvals by line of business (client) and operations (internal).
·  You will drive several engagements at any given time, adhering to aggressive services levels for the solution design process.
·  Supports the bid team in all Solution related activities (Rainbow preparation, customer contacts, risk analysis, hand-over to delivery, etc.)
·  Ensure the solution accuracy, costing and assumptions.
·  Leads successful integrations and takes ownership of issue resolution
·  Creates solution cost model. Designs and validates business cases on associated costing to the designed solution and migration.
·  As a Solution Architect, you will oversee projects from an architecture design perspective through implementation, providing leadership and advocacy, as well as assisting in troubleshooting/problem solving.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

·  Wintel based Application Hosting Products such as IIS and .NET Framework; including clustering and replication technologies.
·  Unix/Linux based Application Hosting Products such as WebLogic, Apache, JBOSS, Tomcat including clustering and replication technologies.
·  High level understanding of the following:
·  Authentication Technologies such as Active Directory, LDAP, okta, ISAM
·  Linux, Windows, and Unix Hardware/Operating Systems
·  Server Virtualization Technologies such as VMWare and LDOMs
·  High Availability Technologies including Replication, Load Balancing and Disaster Recovery
·  Cloud services and technologies

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

·  5+ years of IT experience with Application hosting and solutions architecture and design.
·  Significant experience with solutions development, testing, proof of concept and migration issues, problems and considerations.
·  High level understanding and experience of application development lifecycle and alternative SDLC methodologies such as Agile.
·  Consultative approach with customers and ability to articulate technical concepts using simple business language for the non-technical.
·  Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
·  Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
·  Ability to effectively communicate verbally and orally while remote from teammates and customer.
·  Ability to build strong relationships and trust across both internal and client organizations.
·  Prior experience in performing and/or managing projects
·  General Business acumen.
