You will be joining the Atos Public Safety team in Greece, employing more than 70 highly skilled software professionals, who develop products and solutions leading the transformation of existing Emergency Services into the next generation solution and providing state of the art technology for fast and accurate delivery of emergency information including voice, data and video to first responders.

Athens Center of Excellence is seeking for an enthusiastic Site Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Requirements
· Administer and maintain the existing infrastructure to ensure continuous availability and seamless operation of the systems at both hardware and software levels.
· Design and develop solutions that gradually enhance service provisioning, reduce administration and maintenance processes.
· Ensure smooth operation of the backup process and promptly recover any core service within the agreed timeframes.
· Analyze system logs and fine-tune performance to proactively identify and address problematic areas with strategic solutions.
· Research, design, and implement innovative solutions to meet ongoing needs.
· Audit systems performance, evaluate outcomes, and propose improvements.
· Safeguard assets, maintain information security, and implement control structures.
· Participate in regional group meetings and provide status updates on site when required.
· Manage and support onsite engineer(s) through training, coaching, setting job expectations, and performance appraisal.
· Handle annual budget responsibilities, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and managing IT workplace equipment procurement through Shopping Cart preparation and submission.
Skills
At least 3 years of experience in technical management, information analysis and computer hardware/software systems. More precisely:
· Experience in managing data centers and ensuring effective data governance.
· Proven expertise in operating Linux/Windows and VMware systems, as well as virtual platforms.
· Proficiency in computer networks, including Cisco administration, network installations of switches and firewalls.
· Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for effective system oversight.
· Hands-on experience in Cybersecurity.
· Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and prioritization abilities.
· Regularly generating and sharing operational system reports with senior management.
· Highly organized and detail-oriented.
· Ability to effectively manage personnel.
· Excellent presentation and communication skills.
·
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Additional skills to be considered as advantages.
· Cisco's CCNA Certification
· VMware's VCP Certification
· Has hands-on experience with Cloud technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
· Understands and has worked with a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery platform, like GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions.
· Approaches problem solving analytically with a keen attention to detail.
· Possesses knowledge of Veritas Netbackup and Veeam backup solutions.
· Is familiar with Agile methodology and has previous experience working in an Agile environment.
