Core Responsibilities

In this role you will need to be a technical authority in Information Security who is fully qualified and an individual contributor, who will need to:

· Excellent verbal and technical writing skills, as well as the ability to effectively convey information security concepts and requirements to a non-technical audience,
· including both internal and client-facing engagements.
· Assists in defining processes to carry out all security operations functions.
· Provides data for operational metrics and progress reports.
· Follow up with site administrators for status on non-compliant platforms and maintain any necessary exception documentation.
· Track projects and watch among various groups to drive issues to completion.
· Lead work to achieve financial targets and timelines effectively

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, specialized systems training, or equivalent work experience
· Install/maintain/support/diagnose various network perimeter security solutions
· Install and configure upgrades/updates
· Configure and maintain Web/Email/IPS filtering policies
· Perform database maintenance on Web/Email/IPS filtering management consoles
· Maintain/update documentation, as well as, document exceptions to standards.
· Skills/knowledge of Symantec Messaging Gateway (formerly Brightmail)
· At least 5 years of experience supporting a multiple customer base systems and network environments utilizing either Symantec Web/Email, McAfee Web Gateway/Network Security Platform, Palo Alto, or Cisco Ironport/WSA.
· Provides timely and adequate response to threats/alerts, including off-hour support.
· The ability to assess security events to aim to a resolution.
· Preferred Security Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, Bluecoat or McAfee
· Basic core Routing & TCP/IP knowledge
· Strong, interpersonal, analytical, and social skills
