About the role:

You will be joining a diverse team of web developers and working with highly successful companies from a variety of sectors ranging from financial to government services.

 

Responsibilities:

·  Establish and uphold project-specific front-end software engineering standards.
·  Take ownership of front-end development to ensure successful and compliant product delivery.
·  Produce high-quality code for front-end web applications.
·  Employ standard processes and automation for code quality and efficiency.
·  Collaborate with the project and practice leads on progress and challenges.
·  Support the Front-End Development Lead in evolving working methods, delivery approach, and engineering practices.
·  Apply specialist knowledge in front-end web app development.
·  Utilize a broader understanding of agile delivery, cloud-native architectures, continuous integration, and test automation.

 

Experience:

·  Demonstrated experience working within a digital agency or IT consulting environment.
·  Proven experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum/Pace and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
·  Familiarity with Lean principles is highly valuable.
·  Ability to guide and coordinate the technical aspects of project development throughout extended durations.
·  Extensive experience in web and mobile software engineering.
·  Proficiency in developing and implementing solutions for web platforms.
·  Ability to contribute to the development and maintenance of React or Angular projects.
·  Preferable experience in industry sectors such as financial services, retail, or goverment services.
·  Understanding specific industry requirements and challenges is an advantage.
·  Proven ability in people management, including coaching and mentoring.
·  Experience encouraging a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

 

Skills:

·  Solid understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS and HTML5
·  Solid understanding of common patterns such as functional, OO
·  Unit testing using libraries such as Jest, Mocha + Chai, Jasmine or similar.
·  Version control systems, in particular Git branching strategies.
·  Commanding knowledge of Angular or React.
·  Data management patterns: observable, two-way, unidirectional.
·  UI Component libraries and tools (Material UI, Storybook).
·  Build and bundle automation tools such as Vite or Webpack.
·  Linting tools such as ESlint and Stylelint.
·  Server-side rendering with tools such as Next.js is highly desirable.
·  Code quality management (Linting tools, SAST, Sonar, Codacy) is desirable.
·  NFRs (accessibility, performance, security).
