Job Title:QIP, DNS, DHCP, GSS/GTM
Engineer
QIP, DNS, DHCP, GSS/GTM Engineer is tasked with supporting the Disney
QIP/GTM environment, which includes working with internal Xerox team members
as well as Disney team members and other entities which Disney has
contracts. Individual must have excellent multi-tasking and
organization skills. Some travel maybe required in support of the job
requirements.

Represent Changes in Disney CABs as necessary
Troubleshoot QIP, DNS, DHCP, GSS/GTM issues
Execute assigned work in a timely manner
Trouble ticket
investigations, root cause analysis, resolution, implementing, measuring, and
improving all processes, procedures, and activities required to ensure
maximum availability, utility, flexibility, and responsiveness of the
production environment.
Supporting a complex
DNS/DHCP/GTM environment, incident resolution, providing subject matter
expertise to other team members
Driving improvements and
ensuring the highest degree of resilience and top tier support.
Must be able to take
ownership of issues and drive through to resolution across a complex, global
enterprise environment.
Must have strong
understanding of internetworking technology principles with demonstrated
expertise in IPV4/IPV6, DNS/DHCP, BIND.
Execute trouble tickets (RMs) in a manner that is compliant with
SLAs’.
Resolve incidents (IMs) in a manner that is compliant with SLA’s.
Creates RFC’s in a manner that is compliant with documented
processes.
Ensure RFC’s are approved in a timely manner ensuring RM’s are completed
on time.
Ensures changes are made to production equipment only through an open or
latent RFC.
Coordinate work with other teams and team members as necessary.
Examples:
Internal and External DNS changes need to be coordinated.
If IP address are changing and the work is done in the DMZ, then
coordinate work with the firewall team
Maintain health of QIP master server(s)
Maintain health of remote DNS/DHCP server(s)
Review QIP KPI documents and fix or assign RM work to the appropriate
teams. Examples:
Add addition DHCP scope to subnets
If subnet is out of space open an RM to the appropriate Xerox team or BDS
if Disney to change the IP address space size (convert from a /27 to a /26,
etc).
Maintain the health of the GSS and GTM hardware and services.
Annually validate and ensure all QIP and GTM systems are under
maintenance.
Understand DRDs for assigned work (DRD – Design Review Document)
Participate in internal and external project meetings
Perform hardware /software refresh per contract terms.
