OT Network Engineer / Architect

We are looking for a Network Engineer / Architect in Operational Technology to join our team and help us craft, implement and maintain secure and reliable network solutions for our industrial systems.

 

Responsibilities:

 

· 
Designing and maintaining networks security, reliability and performance for OT systems that support critical functions and services.

· 
Collaborate with OT engineers, IT staff and vendors to understand network requirements and specifications and provide network solutions that meet their needs and expectations.

· 
Fix and resolve network issues and incidents in a timely and efficient manner by using network diagnostic tools, logs and reports, and coordinate with relevant collaborators to restore network functionality and service.

· 
Document network architecture, configuration, policies and procedures for Operational Technology systems and devices.

· 
Research and evaluate new network technologies and solutions and conduct feasibility studies and pilot projects to test their suitability and benefits.

· 
Deliver training and mentorship to network staff and users on network standards and ensure compliance with network policies and regulations.

Required Skills and Experience:

 

· 
Proven track record in auditing, crafting, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure and security for industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments.

· 
Proficient in OT protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850, OPC UA, and MQTT, and their integration with IT systems and cloud services.

· 
Solid grasp with OT specific programmable logic controllers (PLCs), computer numerical control (CNC), remote terminal units (RTUs), human machine interfaces (HMIs), distributed control systems (DCS), supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA), industrial (IoT) devices.

· 
Proficient with IT-specific network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, gateways, and wireless access points, and their configuration and management.

· 
Solid grasp in performing network analysis, solve, and optimization using tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Nessus, and SolarWinds.

· 
Experience with network security standards such as NIST 800-82, IEC 62443, ISA 99, and CIS Controls for ICS.

Nice to have:

 

· 
Certification in network technologies such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or CompTIA Network+.

· 
Certificates in security such as CISSP, GICSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
