What will be your job?

· 
·  Provide technical expertise on MySQL database and accompanying technologies
·  Drive architecture design on customer projects and act as a trusted advisor on MySQL database for delivering highly performing, secured and resilient database systems
·  Install, upgrade, patch and maintain MySQL database (Community and Enterprise Edition) and enterprise management software
·  Provision MySQL instances within application release delivery support
·  Implement MySQL backup and recovery strategies and procedures
·  Implement MySQL high-availability (HA) and disaster-recovery (DRP) architectures using clustering and data replication technology (binary log, global transaction identifier GTID)
Facilitate and actively participate in all phases of the project life cycle: requirements gathering and analysis, solution design and development, testing and implementation, post-production support and platform evolution
·  Support customers in benchmarking to identify bottlenecks, provide guidance on performance tuning and optimization of MySQL database, robustness and business continuity testing
·  Write accurate and concise technical documentation, participate in compliancy audits
·  Deliver internal trainings on MySQL database and accompanying technologies
·  Deliver management and automation tools used transversally within the company
·  Align processes and reinforce collaboration between international database teams

 

What do you have to offer?

Requirements  

·  Minimum 3 years of working experience with MySQL database in production environments
·  Ability to work and communicate in an international and multi-cultural environment
·  In-depth knowledge of MySQL database (5.5/5.6/5.7) coupled with production support experience in a multi-service, multi-geo-sites environment (8.x is an asset)
·  Ability to sometimes work outside office hours (incl. weekends) for planned interventions and participate in 24x7 on-call DBA weekly rotating team role
·  Strong interest in supporting and maintaining complex, business mission-critical,
highly-available and secured databases which are subject to internal and external audits
·  MySQL database troubleshooting and performance tuning skills including system, storage and network configuration, as well as tracing facilities
·  In-depth knowledge of SQL language including performance tuning
·  Basic knowledge of logical and physical relational data modelling (OLTP/DWH)
·  Working knowledge of MySQL data replication methods(binary log, global transaction identifier GTID)
·  Working knowledge of Linux (CentOS, RHEL) operating system in a multi-domain environment including shell scripting automation
·  Knowledge of MySQL monitoring and administration tools (MySQL Enterprise Monitor, Oracle Enterprise Manager for MySQL, ZabbiX, Icinga, etc.)
·  Knowledge of system configuration, security, performance optimization, high availability and disaster-recovery architectures is an asset
·  Knowledge of data storage technologies (FC/SAN/NAS/Flash), performance optimization, high-availability and data backup architectures is an asset
·  Knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP) and administration is an asset
·  Knowledge of MySQL database enterprise auditing/encryption/backup is an asset
·  Knowledge of Enterprise User Security (EUS) solutions (IAM/LDAP) is an asset
·  Knowledge of Cloud provisioned services (IaaS, PaaS, DBaaS) is an asset
·  Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware) is an asset

Desirable

·  Completed higher-education in information technology, engineering, or related field
·  Professional approach when dealing with internal and external customers
·  Structured and concise written and verbal communication skills
·  High degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail
·  Ability to maintain a positive attitude under sometimes stressful circumstances

·  Practical knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
·  Knowledge of compliancy frameworks (PCI-DSS, ISO, ISAE 3402, etc.)
·  Knowledge of project management frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2)
·  Knowledge of other open-source database technologies (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, NoSQL)
·  Ability to sometimes travel to other company branch offices in Europe
·  Indicative GCM-Level: DBA4/5

Languages
·  Business fluency in French and English language (oral and written)
·  Knowledge of Dutch/German/Italian language is an asset

·  You will be based in Tours (FR) or Blois (FR).
·  Occasional travelling to other company branch offices (Brussels, Frankfurt, Milano, Utrecht, Warsaw, Wroclaw) is sometimes required.
