Job Description
Lean Skipper drives the application of Lean methods and discipline at all levels of the organization & facilitates Continuous Improvement activities within each team by enabling Navigators to identify opportunities, properly analyze and drive their teams to implementation. In this role he or she provides Coaching, Mentoring and Training - Lean concepts as well as tools to make Navigators successful. Lean Skipper works for achievement and maintenance of the Atos Lean Skipper Certification within 6 months of assuming the role. Lean Skipper also participates in and drives larger projects cutting across teams and the organization as required.
Key Role Responsibilities:
o Train Navigators in Lean methodology and how to implement Lean rituals
o Assist Navigators in attaining and maintaining their appropriate Lean certification
o Drives results by mentoring Navigators during their day to day continuous improvement activities and ensuring they have the tools and support required to identify areas for improvement, develop ambitious but realistic improvement plans, quantify and track improvements and enable the GDC to achieve continuous improvement objectives around profitability, CSAT and employee satisfaction
o Reviews Lean Navigator projects and tracking towards successful completion
o Join the daily huddles and/or Kaizen workshops of the team when needed
o Selects the appropriate Lean tools to be shared during each training session
o Responsible to effectively sell good suggestions/ideas/solutions, etc.
o Encourage embedding of Lean mindset by acting as a role model
o Facilitate escalation of potential roadblocks as appropriate
o Understand and facilitate effective usage of operational KPIs (with ambitious target setting)
o Maintain regular 1:1 schedule with Navigators and ad-hoc meetings as required
o Actively manage or take part in projects, owning a portion of the project scope or a sub-team
o Contributes to key presentations, attends and can lead associated meetings
o Continuously seek out best practice internal and external to Atos
o Create success stories and actively contribute to the Atos Lean community
Job Requirements
o Strong analytical skills, willing to learn and work independently
o Demonstrable experience in driving Continuous Improvement activities/projects
o Sufficient Lean knowledge to mentor Navigators
o Good English language skills – Mandatory
o Effective communicator at all levels
o Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
o Lean Six Sigma Certified (green or black) – Nice to have
o Relevant technical/domain knowledge - Preferred
o Knowledge of ITIL Foundation- Preferred
o Previous experience quantifying improvements - Preferred
o Awareness of Atos MS global structure and processes - Preferred
o Prior financial exposure and ability to interpret financial statements - Preferred
o Able to lead, train, mentor and coach
o Influencing skills & being a Team Player
o Highly self-driven, motivated, energetic and have a passion for excellence
o Willingness to travel within GDC when required up to 50%
