The opportunity

 

We have exciting opportunity for a HR Adviser to support our Independent Assessment Services (IAS) contract. IAS carries out Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions on a FTC.

 

People are our greatest asset and with over 2,000 colleagues we are looking to expand our HR advisory team.

 

You will be responsible for providing operational HR advice and guidance to managers. Whilst the primary focus will be to support IAS with managing absence effectively and reducing absence, you will also support on wider employee relations issues such as performance management, discipline and grievance.

 

Working closely with a number of key stakeholders you will be responsible for providing advice and support to on a wide range of people issues, liaising with the employee relations centre of excellence for complex employment issues.

The ability to interact with and influence different levels of staff across the organisation.

· 
A can-do approach to all HR challenges and within an evolving landscape post pandemic

· 
Excellent planning and organising skills under varying levels of pressure.

· 
A proven track record in delivering appropriate guidance and support to managers in relation to casework including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, performance management etc

· 
Maintain effective customer relationships and service by providing proactive and timely advice

· 
Strong understanding of UK&I employment legislation, CIPD level 5 would be advantageous

· 
Strong HR ER experience gained in high volume, transactional environments with disciplinary, grievance, probation and sickness absence management cases

· 
Excellent communication skills and ability to build solid working relationships

· 
Mobility essential

· 
Ability to demonstrate a pro-active approach

· 
Good working knowledge of Microsoft office tools, Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint
