Atos Digital Health is currently seekingHIM Processor IIs for our location in Pontiac MI. These are onsite positions, day shift, with holiday and weekends required.
Under the general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, processes patient medial record information including prepping, scanning, indexing, retrieving, filing, analysis for chart completion, maintenance of Master Patient Index integrity, and assisting physicians with medical record informaition. You will perform routine clerical tasks and other related duties as required to meet the needs of the Health Infomation Management department. You will be working with other departments, problem solving uncoded accounts, assist with suspension processes adn distrubute reports.
Excellent customer service and team work skills are required.
Ability to focus on details, accurately perform job duties, and meet quality/production expectations is also required.
Strong computer skills and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment is essential.
Health Information Mangement Associates Degree Preferred
Minimum one-year medical records experience, preferrably experience with Electronic Medical Records
Analytical skills necessary to review and assess definciencies in medical information.
Medical Terminology knowledge required to be successful
Analytical ability to discern compliance with authorization requirements
Interpersonal skills necessary to exchange factual information with inernal and/or external customers on a frequent basis
Organizations skills necessary to handle content and timeliness requirements for release of information and chart completion process
Ability to actively record production and other detail oriented information
Ability to read and speak English at a fluent level
Ability to perform basic clerical duties that include operating standard office equipment including fax machine, photocopier, microfiche, telephone, etc.
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team enviornment.
Shifts available -
Sunday - Thursday 8:30-5pm weekdays, 8:00 -4:00pm weekends
Tuesday - Saturday 8:30-5pm weekdays, 8:00 -4:00pm weekends
