Shift Schedule: Nightshift
Work set-up: Hybrid
Installation, Configuration, of WebLogic Application Server (12c,14c) and jboss on Linux and UNIX platforms.
Certificate installation and handling SSL configuration.
Knowledge in Shell, WLST and Python Scripting, Tidal automation.
Knowledge in Splunk, OEM, JMC monitoring tools.
Troubleshooting, Performance tuning, deploying applications,
Applying patches Middleware tools and technology in production environment.
Manage team ticket queue and resolve in timely manner.
Patching on Prod servers using opatch, Oracle Http server installation and configuration
Hands on experience on vulnerability remediation process
Monitoring the JVM performance by WebLogic Heap Size, garbage collection, JDBC
Pools and taking Thread dumps and heap dump analyzing to find the problems in application.
Hands on experience in password management, application configuration.
Troubleshoot minor and major system problems in a timely manner and escalate to L3 support when necessary.
Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) agent installation on various environment and configuration on
OEM13c console and troubleshooting related issues.
Provide global, 24x7 operations support to client.
Meet service level agreement (SLA) commitments.
Co-ordination with other teams towards resolution of application issues
Perform system administration tasks.
User administration.
Providing software application support under the supervision of the Senior Engineer.
Performing analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements.
Ensuring effective front-end and back-end functionality of applications.
Establishing the root causes of application errors and escalating serious concerns to the Senior Engineer.
Keeping a record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates.
Develop and maintain accurate technical and user documentation.
Monitoring application performance metrics.
Providing front-end support to clients and colleagues in other departments.
Application Support Engineer Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or similar.
Demonstrable experience as an application support engineer in a related field.
Ability to manage code migration, document configuration changes, and monitor performance.
Exceptional ability to provide front-end support to internal departments and web-based clients.
Advanced proficiency in determining the causes of application errors and repairing them.
Exceptional communication skills.
