The DCLAN Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for interfacing with customers on site and various internal Xerox/Disney teams in a virtual environment on a day-to-day basis. This individual must be customer focused and be able to thrive in a dynamic environment. He or she will report to the Engineering Leads based on location and must deliver senior engineering knowledge, experience, and accountability to the team.
The DCLAN Senior Network Engineer is to ensure the smooth operation of the organization’s data center networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for the system users. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining and supporting Data Center infrastructure including switches, routers, and load balancers at all Data Centers and Parks nationwide. The Sr. Network Engineer provides high-level technical support for data network systems, creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards, and works projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures. The Senior Network Engineer must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems. This position requires excellent problem management and customer service skills.
Roles:

· Internetworking infrastructure field experience with multiple vendors: including Cisco, Juniper, F5, and NetScout among others.
· Basic understanding of technical issues and has the aptitude to provide a resolution.
· Dedication to seeing work delivered accurately and within SLA timeframes.
· Works closely with teammates to ensure engineering standards are met and delivered on-time.
· Back-up Engineering Leads as needed to ensure consistent service.
· First line for escalation on NOC calls.
Responsibilities:
· Assist team with the planning, design and coordination on small projects.
· Able to use system analysis / tools to design and diagram all parts of a specific system or network.
· Advanced skillset to perform troubleshooting analysis and system operational analysis.
- Must be an excellent communicator in both written and oral formats.
- Ensures customer architectural standards and DCLAN technical processes are followed and communicate to leads ways to improve upon daily operational procedures.

Required Technical Skills
Candidate

Experience
with one or more of the following technologies: Cisco Routers and
Switches, F5 Load Balancers, Juniper Routers & Switches, NetScout,
Firewalls.
Cisco
routing and switching experience is required with a proven track record of
hands on experience.
Working
knowledge of Cisco Nexus products is required, preferably Nexus 7700 with
F3 line cards, 7000, 5500/5600 and 2000 series models
Hands on
experience operating and troubleshooting Data Center related technologies
such as Fabric Path, VPC plus, VRFs to include intra and inter routing
Experience
with VRF, VLAN, STP, VTP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS
Experience
working with and troubleshooting the following routing protocols: BGP,
OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) and route
redistribution with all of the preceding.
Desired
Technical Skills
Experience
in designing analyzing, planning, and modifying network components
supporting customer communication implementation activities.
Understanding
and experience working with Microsoft and Apple operating systems
Proven
track record in networking with remote trouble shooting experience
Ability
to capture and analyze logs and packet traces via wire shark
Hands
on with complex Quality of Service (QOS) implementations
Experience
working with converged voice and video infrastructures is highly desired.
Analyze
complex logs and identify the customer issues in order to provide
effective resolutions
Understanding
and experiencing working with virtualization technologies
Desired Skills & Experience
Required
minimum Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent, CCIE Preferred, preference
given to data center related certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or
Business Administration
Experience working in a large, Fortune 100
environment
10 years of IT/IS management of systems
administration
