Job description
- Analysis of operational information
(statistics, problems, issues etc), to pro-actively identify improvement
opportunities in working practices and services;
- Manage improvement initiatives to
deliver targeted savings/improvements, in adherence with the standard CSI
process.
- Lead/manage Workshops for problem
solving, idea generation, lessons learnt etc to get greater engagement from the
delivery teams;
- Completion and presentation of
proposals/business cases – both orally and in writing, to gain management buy-in
and sign off of initiatives;
- Applies standards, methods and
tools in an intelligent and effective way;
- Produces a consistently high
standard of documentation using the required standards, methodology and tools;
- Works alone or as part of ad hoc
team analysing underlying issues from investigations and proposes
solutions/options for resolution/improvement;
- Consults with specialists such as
software and tools development, service support and other technical and process
specialist areas as appropriate;
- Management of ad hoc teams to drive
continual improvement activities.
Providing coaching, support and mentoring where necessary;
- Co-ordinate and manage agreed
transition activities through to completion and hand over responsibility for
work transferred into the delivery team;
- Supports senior management with the
development of departmental and organisation strategic plans
Desired profile
Essential
ü Knowledge
of ITIL Service Management methodology, and specifically Continual Service
Improvement;
ü
Experience
of running improvement initiatives and delivering quantified benefits to the
organisation;
ü
Strong
communication and inter-personal skills;
ü
Demonstrates
ability to lead teams successfully;
ü
Basic
level of Project Management experience including knowledge of PRINCE II
methodology.
Desirable
ü
Knowledge/experience
of Lean Six Sigma methodology;
ü
Educated
to Degree level or equivalent;
ü
PRINCE
II foundation level
