A Billing & Reporting Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient billing processes and financial success within an organization. They oversee all aspects of billing, from invoicing and collections to reporting and analysis. To excel as a Billing & Reporting Manager, a diverse set of skills and qualifications is required, including financial acumen, attention to detail, leadership abilities, and technological proficiency. By possessing these competencies, Billing & Reporting Managers can navigate complex billing landscapes and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement reporting and billing procedures to ensure timely and accurate provision of reports and invoicing of customers
· Manage a team of billing and reporting specialists and provide leadership and support as needed
· Oversee the reporting ,billing and invoicing process and ensure accurate and timely invoicing of clients
· Review and analyze billing data to identify trends and areas for improvement
· Identify opportunities to improve reporting and billing efficiency and accuracy and implement strategies to achieve these goals
· Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and customer service, to ensure smooth and efficient billing operations
· Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders
· Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely cash flow
· Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and errors
· Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to billing
· Stay up-to-date on relevant billing regulations and compliance requirements
· Identify, solve existing billing and invoicing issues. Improve reporting quality and value -financial and non-financial, transform the value of Atos standard and ad-hoc reporting to the customer organisation. Ensure invoicing accuracy & reduce errors and disputes: ensure high quality and consistent communication on all billing issues.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
· 2+ years of experience in billing and reporting, preferably in a management role
· Experience and understanding of cloud infrastructure cost components and consumption metrics
· Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of billing specialists.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience with billing automation software
· Knowledge of financial reporting standards
· Experience with collections procedures
· Fluency in a second language
