The opportunity
You will undertake architecture design for the local UK implementation of GTS standard portfolio tools.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
You will
· Provide as required architecture design for a number of GTS core service management application/tooling solutions (Primarily Ansible, but not limited to, Arago, SCCM, BMC Server Automation, BeatBox, ServiceNow Orchestration).
· Support key technology transformation and customer transition activities through the design and development of suitable application/tooling solutions including the production of supporting High Level and Low Level Designs.
· Work with the IDM Towers to optimize the capabilities of strategic tooling solutions to drive process efficiency and process automation within the factory.
· Define and manage the lifecycle roadmap for deployed tooling solutions.
· Manage and/or support the technical evaluation and proof of concept activities related to the development or enhancement of strategic tooling solutions.
· Support toolset innovation activities in collaboration with colleagues from the wider GTS Global organization.
· Develop and maintain reference architectures for UK tooling solutions adapting as required from appropriate global reference architectures.
· Respond to business changes by delivering the necessary technology to support the business.
· Take ownership of complex issues and /or business requirements until issues resolved / requirements met.
· Provide input into development of strategic management toolsets as and when required.

This is a full time position, available UK wide.
Skills we’d like:
· Degree educated or equivalent desirable ideally in an IT discipline.
· Strong technology management background with experience of defining Automation toolset technology architectures and standards.
· Excellent tooling domain expertise in the core Automation technology areas.
· Good understanding of application interface protocols and standards.
· DevOps/Agile processes (including Continuous integration/Continuous deployment concepts and tools).
· Demonstrates the ability to quickly attain knowledge and understanding of complex technical applications.
· Automation frameworks and tools such as Red Hat Ansible Automation.
· Scripting tools like Ruby or Python.
· Linux and MS Windows in prompt mode, 'CLI', text editors, and various SSH clients.
· Implementing system infrastructure and cloud solutions, including data storage, networking, monitoring, and security.
· Networking fundamentals.
· Proficient in Enterprise Management frameworks and other tools which may be appropriate (Arago, Syntbots, ServiceNow Orchestration, BeatBox).
· Eligible for security clearance.
