Job description
The application manager for Publishing is responsible for managing a set of applications in the Global IT landscape: Atos.net (Internet), Source (Intranet), NewsRoom (Source backend), Video solutions and web statistics (Google analytics) .
This includes the management of the evolution and functioning of the core functions in line with the business requirements as well as the integration of the application with other business applications.
The application manager maintains close relation with the suppliers of the business application (both in Systems Integration and Managed Services) and aligns the business requirements from the business owner of the applications or with BPOM GIT representative, with the global application and application landscape evolution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all application stakeholders to understand their business objectives and requirements;
- Translate business requirements into an application evolution roadmap;
- Direct and drive execution of application strategy and road mapping in alignment with global strategy;
- Provide input and guidance on new potential solutions in the defined landscape of functions and framework;
- Organize functional related Customer Advisory Board (CAB) and interact with Business Review Meeting (BRM) via BPOM Global IT organization;
- Attend the related Application Change Control Board (ACCB);
- Approve detailed changes based on functional specification;
- Manage portfolio of projects and changes/enhancements related to the application;
Desired profile
Technical Skills:
- Good understanding of corporate business applications in general;
- Good understanding of web applications specifcally;
- Good understanding of functionalities in Publishing;
- Familiar with industry standard programming languages and web-application technologies (mainly SharePoint, .NET and java);
- Familiar with industry standard database technology, specifically MS-SQL;
- Familiar with CSDM process, and SDM12;
- Understands the demand/supply model in application management and governance; Experience:
- Experience in a IT demand and supply organization;
- Experience managing business applications (in several areas);
- Experience with Publishing applications: Internet, Intranet, video display, user experience;
- Experience with CSDM and ITIL processes;
- Experience with project management; Soft Skills:
- Skilled in usage of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio;
- Experience with SaaS relations;
- SharePoint skills in publishing;
- Java skills (CQ5.6
- Experience manager from Adobe is a must);
- Fluent in English;
- Good presentation skills;
- Good communication skills;
