Video Conferencing Network Engineer
Location:
Windsor, CT
Position Summary:
Atos is hiring for an experienced (3-5+ years) AV Conferencing Network Engineer to work in our offices based in Windsor, CT!
Basic Requirements/Skill-set:
· Extensive knowledge of AV systems, Video conference, Telepresence, Cisco and Polycom VOIP, Skype EV, and Windows OS systems.
· 3-5+ years’ experience of video conferencing signaling protocols
· Polycom/Skype native integration
· 3-5+ years’ experience of extensive knowledge in Polycom, Microsoft, Skype, Crestron, Extron, and Logitech products.
· Experience in visual display systems, audio systems, and room control systems.
· Expertise in troubleshooting hardware systems and networks.
· Experience in IT and AV project management, design, and planning.
· InfoCom CTS certified (preferred).
Basic Responsibilities:
Manage video conferencing requests including:
· Consult with users on requirements and recommend solutions
· Advise processes and forms to request a video conference
· Assist user with scheduling video conference via Skype (or similar tools)
· Schedule the video conference and participate in video conference tests as needed
· Work with external companies to recommend solutions and test/successfully execute a video conference (for the components Service Provider is responsible for)
Responsible for the availability and operability in the Video Conference Rooms. Equipment includes, but is not limited to:
· Audio/Video, Content sharing, Cameras/Monitors, Hardwire connections
· Technologies to project images (e.g. solstice) and backend infrastructure, etc
Maintain a hotline that is answered immediately during business hours to assist with audio/video conferencing issues for video or audio requests submitted via Service Now.
Fulfill Polycom infrastructure (Resource Manager, DMA, RMX, RPAD, Content Connect and RSS)
· Maintain all Polycom infrastructure servers (software updates, config profiles/changes as needed or request)
· Resolve all outages or incidents that occur in the environment
· Monitor day to day health of the environment
Responsible for fulfilling audio/video service now requests. Examples include but are not limited to:
· Bringing mobile projector to rooms and assist with setup
· Assist with connectivity to projectors, in room monitors and LCD displays
· Assist with the support of Polycom LCD displays and Crestron/Real Presence or other audio/video connectivity devices
· Assist with the support of local in-house television IP cameras and video encoding devices
· Assist with network connectivity (including wireless connectivity)
· Assist with audio issues
· Assist with issues connecting via solstice or similar technologies
Responsible for the availability and operability of AV technology in conference rooms and collaboration spaces. Equipment includes, but is not limited to:
· Audio
· Content sharing
· Monitors
· Hardware connections
Manage video and AV technologies, including:
· Troubleshoot issues related to the equipment in the room as well as applications and technologies used for audio and video conferencing services. Support includes but is not limited to:
· Resolve software-related conflicts, incompatibility issues and software configuration issues
· Support of monitors, projectors, cables, Polycom LCD displays and Crestron/Real Presence or other audio/video connectivity devices, cameras, audio, and technologies used to display content such as solstice or similar technologies
· Configure codecs, device resets, manage endpoint issues
· Scheduling video conferences
· Manage and act as a single point of contact for third party vendors to resolve issues with equipment in audio/video conference rooms
· Coordinate replacement or repair of equipment with third party vendors and onsite supplier resources
· Communicate issues which may be escalated to group management
