ABF UK Grocery Graduate Scheme
Schemes: Supply Chain, Engineering, Customer Development, Marketing, Procurement & Technical
Degree: Minimum 2:2 degree, we accept applications from any degree Salary: £29,500 Plus £1500 Starting Salary
Location: Flexible to travel/relocate
Start Date: 12th September 2016

The ABF UK Grocery Graduate scheme is run across 6 of our Grocery businesses. We are the people who make the familiar names you see on supermarket and grocery store shelves: Jordan’s cereal, Twinings tea, Kingsmill bread, Patak’s curry sauces, Blue Dragon stir fry sauces, Reggae Reggae sauce, Silver Spoon sugar, Askeys ice cream cornets and toppings… and many more!
The Graduate Scheme
All of our graduate schemes are designed to give you relevant experience and the stretch to become one of our future leaders. Our businesses are agile and need our people to be.
We have 6 different graduate programmes available across:
- Supply Chain & Operations
- Customer Development
- Engineering
- Marketing
- Procurement
- Technical
We only take a select number of graduates every year as we believe in giving you the visibility, responsibility and support to grow your career with us. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects from day one, and plenty of support and development to accelerate your learning.
Placements will be in different locations across the UK, so you need to be flexible about where you are based and about moving during this time.

What are we looking for in successful candidates?

Training & Profiles
On-job, real responsibility and experiences are vital to your career success within ABF Grocery Group. However, we recognise that there are certain areas that as graduates you won’t necessarily have had exposure to previously. Therefore, we supplement your practical experiences throughout your scheme with training sessions designed to give you a greater understanding and some practice at developing your skillset.
Over the course of your scheme, you will participate in two streams of training:
Core Management and Functional Training
You will also attend five events throughout the course of your scheme:
- Mentoring Event Graduate Induction,
- Mid-Programme Event
- Business Simulation
- End of Programme Review
You will be assigned a mentor to support you throughout your graduate programme. Prior to you starting with us, you will be matched to a suitable mentor and attend a mentoring workshop together.
