Job Title:                            Senior Statistical Programmer – Data Science
Location:                            Edinburgh
Salary:                                to £45,000 plus benefits

Our client a UK based drug development services business requires a Senior Statistical Programmer to join their Data Science team at their site in Edinburgh.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced SAS programmers to be involved in the challenging environment of early phase clinical studies and to play a key role in the expansion and continuous development of the company’s statistical programming services.

As a Senior Statistical Programmer you will:

- Be responsible for the production of datasets for analysis and transfer purposes (including CDISC SDTM/ADaM and define.xml), programming of report standard tables, listings and figures and review/input into key study documents e.g. Data Management Plans, Reporting and Analysis Plans.
- Be flexible and creative in your programming skills due to the challenging and complex nature of the studies.
- Have the opportunity to take on a Lead role for statistical programming tasks and Data Sciences projects teams and be involved in the training/mentoring of junior staff members.

What do you need to apply?

- At least 2.5 years’ experience using SAS for statistical programming within the CRO or pharmaceutical industry – Essential.
- A degree or master’s degree (in a life sciences or numerate subject) and working knowledge of ICH GCP – Desirable
- Excellent organisation and presentation skills, with effective oral and written communication skills to enable you to become a primary statistical programming point of contact with clients, external data providers and clinical staff.
