Application Support 2nd line, SWIFT, TCS BaNCS PB Appway Banking software, Finance,

130k+ CHF

Application support and analyst role as part of the IT team. This person will be responsible for supporting the core banking application (TCS BaNCS PB and Appway) as well as supporting business applications.
The role will include vendor management and, down the line, business analysis.
You will be required to be diligent, methodical and work as part of a small locally based IT team delivering a professional IT service and needs to have a good understanding of Swiss private banking.
Clients and users of the applications are distributed across the global businesses including more specifically United Kingdom, Channel Islands and South Africa. Some travel may be required from time to time.
Core Skills and Knowledge
Functional experience

Good understanding of Swiss private banking products, services and the supporting business processes and the players and mechanics of the global markets

Business Application Support and Analysis experience

First line and second line application support for the core banking solution and other applications including SWIFT reconciliation and confirmation matching, AML monitoring; regulatory reporting, electronic archiving, SWIFT settlement, general ledger and accounting.
Defect and error management, analysing defects and prioritising the defects with the business and vendor.
Liaising with the relevant vendor, understanding and managing the Service Level Agreement and working towards the right solution for the business.
Analytical, ability to arrive at solutions that fit the current and potential future requirements.
Facilitating key discussions for requirements extraction and decision making.
Business requirements assessment and gap analysis between business requirements and the targeted solutions e.g. TCS BaNCS PB, Appway, etc.
Documenting testing procedures and conducting application testing. Familiar with testing approaches and test cycles.
Maintenance of system parameters and configuration settings on the business applications including user maintenance.
Supporting Business Continuity Testing, preparing and reviewing BCP and business application operational procedures.
Ability to recognise and propose solutions to meet business requirements e.g. use of data ware house, report writing, etc.
Ability to adhere to standard IT processes and IT controls e.g. Change control, incident management, etc.
Experience with UNIX and Microsoft operating system platforms.
Experience in batch jobs
Business analysis including user requirements gathering and definition (documenting both functional and end user detailed requirements).

ITIL - an understanding of delivering professional IT services
Familiar with the application SDLC and project management methodologies and methods
Knowledge of tools such as MS Project, Visio.
Java- and XML-scripting knowledge
SQL Database knowledge; VB programming; familiar with application architectures (3-tier architecture )
Familiar with the TCS BaNCS Private Banking solution or other similar banking platforms
Familiar with Appway or similar CRM system.
