THE ROLE & CANDIDATE
This position is for a teaching assistant or a qualified teacher, to work with a lovely seven year old boy with Autism. He is not attending a school, instead a fantastic specialist teacher comes every day to work with him and his mother, and to set his programme.
They need a kind, calm person, preferably with some knowledge of Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or other SEN to continue his home programme with his mother for three or four hours a day. He is working at low levels but has some strengths in maths and other areas and is making good progress. He can get stressed when the demands on him are too great, so the ideal candidate would be gentle but firm, fun and understanding, and have a passion for helping SEN children learn.
THE VENUE
This work will be at the family home in New Barnet.
