Job description

Job Description

ARM is starting a new RFIC design centre in Lund, Sweden, within the Wireless BU (WBU), to develop licensable radio IP solutions for use in Narrow-Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT) applications. You will work together with a group of highly experienced engineers and researchers who will develop a System on-Chip (SoC) solution within the ARM Cordio product portfolio, supporting the multiband NB-IoT wireless standard. The SoC includes a complete RF, digital and software solution.

ARM is looking for dedicated, high-energy RF/Analog CMOS designers, with a few years´ experience from industry or academia, eager to use their skills in practice to create best-in-class energy efficient radios to drive the new IoT wave. Specifically, ARM seeks creative, self-starting, highly motivated individuals able to operate in a team driven environment and willing to take the initiative for successful completion of team and individual goals.

What will I be accountable for?

Job purpose

As an experienced RF/Analog IC designer at ARM you would be involved in supporting all phases of RF/analog IC design for standards-based wireless products. Your role in the RF IC design team includes hands-on design and behavioural modelling of RF/analog systems and circuits for transceiver functions as well as characterization of manufactured semiconductor IP-parts. Within this role, there will be opportunities to interact with marketing, applications engineering, RF-systems engineering, digital-IC engineering, software engineering, and worldwide customers to help capture and deliver on design requirements.

Role & Responsibilities

·  Design low voltage and low power RF/analog CMOS integrated circuits from product definition through characterization and qualification. Especially for battery operated NB-IoT product there is a high focus on low power consumption.
·  Plan design work with constraints on performance, power, time and quality
·  Collaborate with layout designers and monitor progress of IC layout
·  Prepare and participate in concept, schematic and final design reviews for circuit blocks
·  Develop and implement test plans for lab characterization of fabricated devices.
·  Document all design work with review materials and detailed design descriptions as well as participate in the writing of datasheets and application notes for customers

Job Requirements
